You have been chosen for a very important mission!
You are a historian, so you will travel back to the past to
investigate and research important American historical figures.
Many years back, a small group of extraordinary people decided
to take a stand for the rights of others. Paul Revere (1734-1818),
Mary McLeod Bethune (1875-1955), and Cesar Chavez (1927-1993),
fought diligently for all citizens of the United States. Now
you have an opportunity to learn more about them and go forth
to teach your classmates all the new things you discover!

You are going to travel back in time to research
the lives of some important historical figures.
Using the websites included in this webquest, you will learn
more about the roles Paul Revere, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Cesar
Chavez played in the history of the United States of America.
You will learn about each of their:
-childhood and adult environments
-influences and motivations
-major accomplishments
You will complete a research guide. Once you have answered some
questions about each historical figure, you will write a report.
Your report will be graded according to a rubric that is included
in this activity.
