Tooth brushes, tooth paste, floss,
 
5. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Importance of having teeth
2.Why we need to keep our teeth healthy
3.How to keep our teeth health
 

B. Development-

1.Demonstrate to the children how to properly brush teeth (in a circular motion for at least two minutes)
2.Show the children how to properly use mouth wash (Very important to emphasis not to drink it!!)
3.Teach the children how to floss
 

C. Practice-

1.In class, use your pointer finger and pretend it is a tooth brush and "brush your teeth" (Do this exercise for two minutes.
2.Ask the children to make their mouth into a bubble and pretend to gargle with mouth wash for one minute.
3.Ask the children to pretend like they are holding a piece of floss, and to floss in between all of their teeth until they are done.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Give each child a packet that consist of a tooth brush, a test tube size of tooth paste, floss,and mouthwash.
2.Instruct the children to have their parents watch them brush their teeth after dinner.
3.Have the parents access how well the child brushes their teeth, uses the mouthwash, and how well they floss.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Have the parent write a short note in the homework folder with a short summary about the child's performance.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.In class the following day give a quiz to see if the children truly grasped the concept
